Great staff and great location but terrible terrible smell and condition
The staff were very nice and helpful. The flow of getting the room was quick and easy
I've been to over 100 hotels, hostels, and airbnb in Japan from over 20 prefectures and being in several more hotels around the world but this is my first time to give a poor review of a hotel. The room was one of the worse I've stayed. It smelled so much of cigarettes that I could taste it in my mouth and my chest started burning. The walls itself was blatantly stained and yellowing from smoking. I'm sure the bed was clean but I didn't want to wake up smelling like cancer. I had to find another hotel that very night. I understand Japan is a huge smoking society still especially for men 40 and older and this place was blatantly made for these men and nothing more but for the price of the room and the condition it was in, especially the smell, it was largely overprice. Also the hotel has parking but oddly enough it isn't for those who paid to stay there and we had to find paid-parking around the hotel. Great Staff and Great location but the smell and the condition of the hotel really made me realize that location and staffs aren't everything.
